MARQUIS VACATIONS TRAVEL AGENCY, LLC. TERMS AND CONDITIONS


These Booking Conditions apply to the person making the booking and all other persons on whose behalf the booking is made. Any deposit/payment received by Marquis Vacations, LLC towards a confirmed travel package or service constitutes full knowledge and acceptance of terms and conditions. Please read these Booking Conditions carefully. They apply to all bookings made through Marquis Vacations, LLC (“Marquis Vacations, LLC”), who are acting as agents on behalf of all of the suppliers (including airlines, tour, and cruise operators, car hirers and accommodation providers) in your booking.

You are contracting with the suppliers, whose terms and conditions apply to your booking. Copies of those terms and conditions are available upon request.  The person making the booking must be at least 18 years of age and must be authorized to make the booking on behalf of the members of the party. The person making the booking must also provide a copy of these booking conditions to the other members of the party.
 

The Contract

After we have received your deposit or full payment (if applicable) and we have issued a confirmation invoice, a contract will exist between you and each of the suppliers, effective from the date printed on your invoice. The terms and conditions of each supplier you have booked with will apply to your booking. Once the contact(s) is made, the airlines, accommodation provider and any other supplier is responsible for providing you with what you have booked.

Agency

The responsibilities of Marquis Vacations, LLC and/ or its agents are limited. Marquis Vacations, LLC and its agents act only as agents for passengers in regards to travel whether by air, railroad, motor coach or any other conveyance and assumes no defect, through the acts or defaults of any company or person engaged in conveying members or in carrying out the arrangements of the trip, or as a direct or indirect result of acts of God, dangers incident on the sea, or air, fire, breakdown in machinery or equipment, acts of governments or other authorities, de jure or de facto wars, whether declared or not, hostilities, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, theft, pilferage, epidemics, quarantines, medical or customs regulations or from any other cause.

Marquis Vacations, LLC can accept no responsibilities for loss or additional expense to travelers due to delay or changes in schedule. Tour services included but not limited to guided services, hotel accommodations, meals and other services are furnished by third parties who are independent & do not act for or on behalf of Marquis Vacations, LLC and with whom  Marquis Vacations, LLC has no relationship as joint venture or otherwise, Therefore Marquis Vacations shall not be liable or responsible in any way whatsoever for inconvenience, loss of enjoyment, mental distress, or other similar matter, damage or injury arising out of or in connection with such travel arrangements, whether same shall be in the result of changes in hotel accommodations, food, baggage handling, tour guiding or any other matter related there to.  All such losses or expenses will have to be borne by the traveler. Each passenger waives any claim against Marquis Vacations, LLC for any delay, inconvenience or damage, loss of property or baggage or injury to or death of persons due to acts or omissions of said third parties.Any airline/
transportation company concerned is not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time passengers are not aboard their aircraft or conveyances.

 

Prices

Every effort is made to ensure that prices quoted to you are correct: however Marquis Vacations, LLC acts only as an agent and relies on information provided to us from the suppliers of the travel services and products. We will bring to your attention any change in price made prior to you completing your booking and paying the balance or the price. Please note some tour operators and travel service providers reserve the right to increase the price of your travel arrangements due to increases in airfares, hotel accommodation changes and currency fluctuations.


Prices quoted for your Vacation Package do not include liability insurance, collision damage waiver, personal accident insurance, personal effects protection, drop-off charges, gas, child safety seats, sky racks, fuel and tax increases, tips to guides, drivers, hotel staff, etc. and incidental room charges at the hotel (telephone, movies, energy surcharges and any applicable increases in taxes.) All such charges must be paid at the car rental pick up location and /or at the check in counter at the hotel or airport.

Payments by Credit

All credit cards must have verifiable billing address. If you are making a payment for another individual or entity please contact us at 215-701-3906 ext. 709 with your requirements. If there is any issue with the credit card, we will notify you within 24 hours, submitting the credit card does not automatically guarantee ticketing. Marquis Vacations, LLC bears no responsibility in the event your credit card is not charged by Marquis Vacations, LLC. There can be a number of reasons for which credit card may not have been charged by Marquis Vacations, LLC such as: Airline did not confirm the booking, fare increased since payment information was submitted, insufficient funds available on the credit card, etc. Marquis Vacations, LLC uses stringent safety measures for credit card processing. You agree to be liable for any and all credit card disputes or other problems such as fraud made to us or the supplier on behalf of you or any individual. You agree to reimburse Marquis Vacations, LLC in cases of fraud or charge backs.

All credit card transactions over the phone to our office, you herewith, authorize Marquis Vacations, LLC and its authorized agents and third party to process the charge on the credit card you provide to us for the amount of your deposit or payment on your Vacation Package Booking. Online credit card transactions are authorized at the time a user or anyone acting on their behalf accepts theses terms and conditions and provides an electronic signature.  By tour operator policy or for HIGH RISK transactions such as one way International tickets, foreign origination tickets, we need a Credit Card Authorization form to be filled out by the card holder: we do NOT guaranteed that the fares may be valid until we receive the credit card authorization form filled out. All issued tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE.

Payments

Marquis Vacations, LLC only accept payments in the form of check, money order, and credit cards. Checks and money orders are to be made payable to Marquis Vacations, LLC at NO time shall a client submit cash; make check or money orders payable directly to their agent. Submit payments to Marquis Vacations Travel Agency 436 York Road Suite 9, Jenkintown, PA 19046. Include your name and reservation number with your payment.

Name or Reservation Changes, Guest Cancellations, Refunds

Reservations may only be changed or canceled by written notice sent by fax to 215-701-3963, email to sales@marquisvacations.com, or certified mail, to Marquis Vacations, LLC 436 York Road Suite 9, Jenkintown, PA 19046.  If you cancel your booking you may incur a cancellation charge. The amount of this charge will vary depending on when the cancellation is made and the terms and conditions of the supplier of travel services or product. If you are entitled to refund please note Marquis Vacations, LLC is unable to provide you with funds until they are received and cleared from the supplier, this process usually takes up to 12 weeks. Free components have no cash value.  No refunds will be made for unused portions of your vacation.


If you want to make any change, although with reasonable notice (usually more than four weeks), changes may be possible. We will make a reasonable effort to accommodate changes to guest names prior to departure. If a supplier is able to make a change they usually charge a fee, your travel agent will inform you of tour operator fees. Marquis Vacations, LLC may charge a $50.00 administration cancelation/change fee per booking as set out in the schedule fees. Our cancellation penalties apply as soon as we have received payment on your reservation. Reservations and package components are non-transferable.

Passport, Visas and Government Issued ID’s

At all times throughout your trip a government-issued photo ID is required for security checks at airports, hotels, car rental locations, attractions, and other travel related products so deemed by suppliers. In addition to the required government-issued ID as stated above, proof of citizenship is required for international travel (for all countries outside the United States of America). Please note that it is your sole responsibility to provide the proper documents. For any questions you may contact the corresponding local consulate of the countries to which you are traveling. Citizens of the U.S. must carry a valid passport for international travel. You will not be entitled to any refunds whatsoever if travel with improper travel documents and thus resulting in denied boarding, delayed travel, or unused portions of your Vacation Package.

 Itinerary RE- Confirmation

Marquis Vacations, LLC will check travel documents. It is the responsibility of the passenger who has booked with us online or has made booking over the phone to review and reconfirm names, dates, flight numbers, airlines, routing including any airport changes are in accordance and acceptance of the passenger. If you discover any discrepancy or you don’t agree, you are requested to immediately contact your agent or Marquis Vacations, LLC.
 

Documents

Electronic tickets and paper tickets documentation will be delivered or emailed to you two to four weeks before departure, pending final payment has cleared.  Documents will be delivered to address on file (No P.O. Boxes); someone must be able to sign for package from 9am to 5pm weekdays): Please contact our office to provide shipping address or email address.

Receipts

Your travel agent may provide you with a written receipt until Marquis Vacations, LLC provide a detail printed receipt 7-14 days via mail after payment have been posted to your account.

Airfare Conditions


Many airfares are subject to strict conditions regarding amendments, cancellations and refunds. In addition airlines impose taxes fees and charges. It is your responsibility to ensure the type of airfare you purchase is suitable for your needs.

Airline Taxes and Fuel Surcharges

All airfares are subject to taxes and changes levied by both government and the airlines themselves: in addition global fuel costs are constantly increasing. Airlines pass on the increase in taxes and fuel surcharges without notice we will endeavor to advise you of these charges in advance that may not always prove possible. Marquis Vacations, LLC has the right to pass on fuel and tax increases, levied by airlines, without notice.

Airline E- Tickets

International and domestic airlines are replacing paper tickets with tickets called e tickets. All passengers travelling on an e ticket must produce photo identification at check in.
 

Airline Schedules

The airline on which you are booked may change its departure time. It is your responsibility to contact the airline to check there has been no change to the time of departure. We recommend that you do so at least 24 hours prior to departure for domestic flights (72 hours for flights to Hawaii and international destinations) in most cases, upgrades and standbys will not be permitted. Seat assignments will be made at the airport on the day of departure or by contacting your travel agent or airline directly. Tickets will not be sold to unaccompanied minors age 18 and under. Tickets may be purchased for minors age 18 and under: however, they must be accompanied by an adult when traveling.

Baggage Fees & Connecting Flights

Baggage fees range from $25.00 USD up to $150.00 USD or more depending on the size and weight of the bag and is per checked bag. These fees are to be paid directly to airline upon using such service. We make an effort to inform you of the baggage fees but we recommend you contact the airline directly for the latest fess on check baggage and policy as it relates to baggage.  When two or more airlines involved for connecting flights then you have to reclaim your bags at the connecting airport and check-in again to continue your journey. You are also advised that in these cases if you have excess baggage, you will have to pay any excess baggage fee assessed by each airline. Most airlines now charge baggage fees even for the first bag checked-in we recommend traveling light to reduce these cost.

Hotel Policies

Hotel Terms and Conditions include various rules and restrictions that apply to your hotel booking. Hotel properties cannot be changed, however, room category may be allowed in certain cases, call Marquis Vacations, LLC to inquire of such changes. For certain hotels, once your booking is confirmed your reservation may be non-refundable in its entirety, check cancellation/change policy for the hotel prior to booking. You will be solely responsible for any and all incidental charges at the hotel, including but not limited to charges for telephone access, internet access, movies, energy surcharges and other services provided by the hotel that you request during your stay at the hotel.

Car Rental

Car Terms and Conditions include various rules and restrictions that apply to your car rental reservation. The rental car driver must be at least 25 years old. A valid driver’s license and major credit card will be required prior to renting a car. Booked car categories cannot be downgraded (i.e., mid-size to economy). No refunds will be made for unused car rentals, impart or in its entirety whatsoever. Extra charges, including but not limited to fuel, fuel plans, optional collision damage, personal injury, theft and/ or other protection plans, airport taxes and fees, overtime and drop off charges, children safety seats, ski racks and other optional items, if any, are subject to direct payment by you to the car rental company at the car pick up location.

Cruises

Cruise lines Terms and Conditions various each cruise line. Please speak with your travel agent about your cruise vacation for all details, from booking, checking in online, packing, and pre-paid gratuity.

Complaints

We hope you will have no reason to complain but if you are unhappy with any aspect of the services provided you must report it immediately to the supplier at your destination. We shall attempt to resolve the matter immediately with the tour operator After Travel Department, you must write us within 28 days from the end of your trip or holiday. Failure to complain at your destination may mean we will be unable to resolve the dispute after you return home. Most reviews take 30-60 days for response. At no time shall Marquis Vacations, make personal settlements on a claim.  All claims must go through the Tour Operator During Travel and After Travel Department for final review.

Travel Insurance

Marquis Vacations, LLC strongly recommends that you take out comprehensive travel insurance at the time of paying a deposit. Vacation Protection provides insurance coverage for trip cancellation and interruption, baggage protection and delay, travel accidents and delay, and emergency medical and dental services and associated transportation. Please contact your agent for more information or to request a brochure. All premiums are NON-REFUNDABLE.

Service Fees

Marquis Vacations, LLC may at its discretion charge service fees on your booking. Our service charges are set out in the attached schedule of fees.

Marquis Vacations, LLC reserve the right to apply to above service fees in additional to those by airlines, tour operators and other services providers that you may use as part of your travel arrangements handle by Marquis Vacations, LLC.
