Terms And Conditions

?    Reasonability: Marquis Vacations Travel Agency (operator) is acting as  an intermediary and agent for suppliers in selling services, in accepting reservations or bookings for services which are not directly supplied by this travel agency (such as air carriage, hotel accommodations, ground transportation, meals, tours, cruises, etc.).

Marquis Vacations Travel Agency, therefore, shall not be responsible for any personal injuries, deaths, property damage, accidents, disruption of travel, change of itinerary, irregularity, loss or delay to you or your travel companion/s, or

  group member/s, resulting from:

 

(1)   breach of contract or any intentional or careless actions or omissions on the part of such suppliers;

(2)   any defect in any means of transportation;

(3)   terrorist activities, political or social unrest, labor problems, mechanical or construction difficulties, monetary crises, diseases, local law, climatic conditions, abnormal conditions or development; or

(4)   any other actions, omissions, or conditions outside the agent/agency’s control.

 

By embarking upon his/her travel, the traveler voluntarily assumes all risks involved with such travel, whether expected or unexpected. Travelers are hereby warned of such risks, and advised to obtain appropriate travel insurance coverage; including but not limited to medical, lost & damaged baggage insurance, and/or trip cancellation insurance. Your retention of tickets, online reservations or bookings after issuance shall constitute consent to the above and an agreement on your part to convey the contents hereto to your travel companions or group members.

 

?    On-line PayPal payments: We only accept PayPal on-line payments for confirmed reservation(s) you already received from your Marquis Vacations travel consultant.

 

?    Prices: Prices for all travel cannot be guaranteed until reservations are confirmed along with payment of applicable deposit. Airfare prices, availability, times and flights are not guaranteed until paid in full and may change without notice.  All prices are subject to change without notice and may be subject to limited availability. The exact price depends upon the day of departure, departure city, length of stay, ship, hotel room or cabin type and other inclusions including (but not limited to) airfare, transfers, rental cars, taxes or administrative fees.  Prices and offers are valid for new bookings only. 

 

?    Exclusions: Unless indicated, prices do not include airfare, gratuities, meals, telephone calls, applicable resort service fees, personal or incidental items, or any other features not listed except where otherwise noted. Cruise prices do not include transfers, taxes or administrative fees. Please speak with your agent to discuss fees. 

 

?    Deposit: A per person deposit is required at the time of booking for all travel arrangements.  The amount of the deposit at the time of booking will vary by vacation or cruise vendor. Certain deposits are non-refundable.  Refundable deposits will be honored only if the reservation is cancelled in writing and the written cancellation request is received within 90 days from the vacation or cruise date, and are subject to vendor and airline penalties. Insurance premiums and certain vendor fees are not refundable.  

 

?    Forms of Payment: At no time should you make checks or money orders payable directly to your agent. Marquis Vacations will not be responsible if checks are Not made payable to the agency.  All Checks or Money orders must be made payable to Marquis Vacations, LLC 436 Old York Road Suite 9, Jenkintown, PA 19046.  All major credit cards are accepted: AMERICAN EXPRESS, VISA, MASTER CARD, OR DISCOVER unless otherwise noted. Certain travel vendors may (only) accept specifically stated cards.

 

When payment is made by credit card:

 

(1)    a signed, fully completed universal charge form (“UCC” without approval for full

payment must be received to secure reservations (a Marquis Vacations agent will

contact you during our daytime business hours to obtain a signed credit card form) and;

 

(2)    Participants waive any charge back rights.  Tender of payment to (TOUR OPERATOR)

constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions. Full payment is due at the time

of booking. Credit card payments must be made using a valid American Express,

Visa, Master Card or Discover card bearing the legal name of a traveling

passenger listed on the reservation. Third party credit cards are accepted

ONLY WITH FULL AUTHORIZATION of the bearer.  Documents will not be

shipped without the legal signature of the credit card holder.  Additional documentation

may be required to verify the legal cardholder’s identity.  Your travel consultant will

tell you the accepted credit cards by travel vender.

 

?    Bounce Checks:  A $50.00 fee will apply.

 

?    Final Payment: Full payment is specified by the individual vendor and due on the date specified. All vacation and cruise prices that include airfare are subject to change until paid in full.  

 

?    Late Bookings: Bookings made within three weeks of departure are subject to an additional fee(s) from the vendor for overnight document shipping and processing fee/s, in addition to the $25.00 over night document shipping fee from Marquis Vacations.

 

?    Revisions and Cancellations: In the event you need to change or cancel your reservation for any reason, please contact Marquis Vacations as soon as possible.   Marquis Vacations charge a $50.00 per person cancellation fee. Cancellations made after deposit or final payment are subject to airline and vendor penalties and will apply to per person . Revision, cancellation and refund policies vary by travel vendor. All refunds are subject to vendor cancel fees up to 100% of the cost of the trip.  In all instances, no-shows and reservations with no insurance are non-refundable. Travel insurance may be purchased at the time of booking, which may cover cancellations for covered reasons as outlined by the travel insurance vendor.


?     Documents:  All Travel documents are shipped 1-3 weeks before departure via standard mail, UPS, or Fed-Ex when received by Marquis Vacations. For all individual reservations, a $15 document-shipping fee will apply at the time of booking. For group reservations, a $50.00 document-shipping fee will apply. All group reservations travel documents will be sent to the group leader unless otherwise prearranged by the group leader.  Marquis Vacations will check all documents for accuracy. However, it is recommended that you too check your documents to confirm accuracy of all information. Call Marquis Vacations immediately at 215-701-3906, if there are any discrepancies or if you have questions. Lost, stolen, or destroyed tickets or vouchers cannot be replaced or refunded.

      AIR TRAVEL

     

     “ALL PERSONS traveling by air outside of the United States are required to present a passport   

      book or other valid travel document to enter or re-enter the United States.

 

     LAND AND SEA TRAVEL

 

     ALL PERSONS traveling by land and sea outside of the United States are required to present

     a passport book/card or other valid travel documents to enter or re-enter the United States.

     The following summarizes information available on the Department of Homeland Security’s

     website:   

 

  • Effective June 1, 2009, all U.S. citizens are now required to present a passport book, passport card or WHTI-compliant document when entering the United States.
    Please Note: Children under age 16 will be able to continue crossing land and sea borders using only a U.S. birth certificate (or other form of U.S. citizenship such as a naturalization certificate.). The original birth certificate or a copy may be used. See the Department of Homeland Security's Ready, Set... Go!, for more information on the changing travel requirements. 

U.S.PASSPORT AND WHTI COMPLIANT DOCUMENTS: 

  • U.S. Passport: U.S. citizens may present a valid U.S. passport when traveling via air, land or sea.
  • The Passport Card: The passport card is only valid for land and sea travel between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean region, and Bermuda.
  • WHTI-Compliant Travel Documents for U.S. citizen travel via land and sea, as of January 31, 2008:
    • Trusted Traveler Cards (NEXUS, SENTRI, or FAST)
    • State Issued Enhanced Driver’s License (when available)
    • Enhanced Tribal Cards (when available)
    • U.S. Military Identification with Military Travel Orders
    • U.S. Merchant Mariner Document when traveling in conjunction with official maritime business
    • Native American Tribal Photo Identification Card
    • Form I-872 American Indian Card”

?    Airline Confirmation: Check-in, Seats, & Missed Flights - It is important to confirm all flights with the airline prior to departure.  For domestic flights, 24 hours is recommended. For international flights, 72 hours is mandatory.  Failure to confirm international flights or to use any portion of the reservation may result in automatic cancellation for all continuing and return flights.  Please verify specific guidelines with your airline when confirming your flights as guidelines change by airline, airport, flight and security restrictions. Latecomers may lose their assigned seat or be denied boarding at their own expense. Additionally, you will also be subject to airline penalties that apply for the re-booking, in addition to any cost difference of the new flight.

 

You may also be subject to any penalties that apply by the hotel or vendor. In all cases, unless additional time is required by the airline, it is important to arrive at the airport at least two hours prior to departure for all domestic flights and three hours prior to departure for international flights. Choice of seat assignments may be limited at the time of reservation request  and at times not assignable until check-in. Seat assignments are capacity controlled at the sole discretion of the airline and are subject to change by the airline without notice. (Marquis Vacations cannot guarantee seat assignments.)

 

?    Luggage: Most airlines allow two pieces of checked baggage (at a minimum fee of $15.00 each bag) and one carry-on piece. Each piece of checked baggage may not exceed a weight of 50 lbs. Luggage travels at the risk of the participant(s) and luggage insurance is strongly recommended. The direct air carrier's limitation on its liability for damage to or loss of participant's luggage is the actual value of such luggage, but no more than $400 per passenger for checked baggage and $400 per passenger for unchecked baggage for international flights and $1250 per passenger for domestic flights. (Please check with your agent or airline for luggage requirements before traveling).

 

?     Taxes/Fees & Restrictions: Air-only and air-inclusive package prices do not include certain government imposed taxes, charges, and fees of up to $410.00, including a September 11th Security Fee of up to $10. {Air-only prices are roundtrip and per person from select cities.} Seats are limited and may not be available on all flights. Blackout dates, travel date restrictions, and advance purchase requirements may apply. Change fees of up to $200 may be charged, and some fares may be non-refundable. Package, hotel, rail & some tour prices are per person, based on two adults traveling together. Cruise and sailing prices are per person, based on double occupancy, and cruise only. Supplements vary by cruise line. Where applicable, all savings and free nights are included in all prices.

 

?     Gift Certificate Disclaimer: All currency listed in U. S. dollars. Gift certificate is valid on vacation packages (New bookings only). One discount per reservation. Not combinable with any other coupons or travel vouchers. Not valid on bus excursions, hotel, rental car, or air only reservations. Coupon must be mailed to Marquis Vacations Travel Agency, 436 Old York Road Suite 9, Jenkintown, PA 19046 attn: Sales or faxed to 1-215-701-3963. Coupon expires midnight of the posted date on front of the coupon. Coupon must be received six weeks prior to departure. Reproduction and duplication is prohibited and subject to applicable laws. Marquis Vacations is a Licensed and Insured company.
